A win against 22 Kansas State last week made Baylor bowl eligible for the first time since 1995. Despite its doormat status in the Big 12, Baylor sits atop the Big 12 South standings. Sophomore QB Robert Griffin III leads the Bears' offensive attack. He threw a career high 18 touchdowns and completed 66.7 percent of his passes in the team's first eight games this season. Baylor ranks fifth in college football in passing yards.
On the other sideline is Garrett Gilbert who has struggled with the daunting task of replacing Colt McCoy this season. The sophomore QB threw three interceptions in the Longhorns' seven point loss against Iowa State last week - the second three interception game for Gilbert this season.
Prediction: Baylor wins in a close one.
