Stand Up for WWE

World Wrestling Entertainment announced a new initiative yesterday called "Stand Up For WWE" for the company and its die hard fans to do their part to correct certain opinions of WWE.

The sports entertainment company has come under much scrutiny in the past few months with the Senatorial race of Linda McMahon, former WWE CEO. McMahon's husband Vince McMahon, who revolutionized the wrestling business, assumed the role of CEO last September and now encourages the "WWE Universe" to do their part to correct any misinformation about the company through their own experiences with WWE.

Per the press release:
“The nearly 600 full-time WWE employees, as well as its 140 Superstars, all work for one reason – to put smiles on people’s faces,” said Vince McMahon, Chairman and CEO, WWE. “The inaccurate media reports about our company are not only an injustice but an insult to our millions of fans worldwide.”

The initiative is meant to be viral as McMahon encouraged fans to show their support on WWE.com, Twitter, Facebook, and other social networking websites.
