The Crimson Tide travel to Baton Rouge, LA to face SEC West Division rivals Louisiana State. Alabama QB Greg McElroy threw 11 touchdowns and completed 70.6 percent of his passes in the Crimson Tide’s first eight games of this season. Alabama will need the senior to take it to another level for the month of November, though, as the Crimson Tide prepare to play against 20 Mississippi State and 2 Auburn after this match-up in Baton Rouge.
(Nick Saban and Greg McElroy discuss the finer points of football)On the other sideline, LSU is looking to recover from a seven point loss to 2 Auburn last week – LSU’s first loss of the season. The Tigers’ biggest question remains at QB. Last week, the combination of Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee threw for 89 yards and one interception (thrown by Jefferson) in the loss. LSU ranks 113th in the FBS in passing yards. Simply atrocious.
Prediction: It is so hard to argue against the defending national champions. Mark Ingram? Trent Richardson? Greg McElroy? Alabama brings such a star studded offense to the field each week. Take Alabama. Barely.
