My Super Sweet 16

10 Florida State vs. 11 Virginia Commonwealth, 9:55 PM ET, TBS

If you told me back in November that Florida State and VCU would meet in the Sweet 16 on TBS, I would have said, “Very funny.” The VCU Rams are already in uncharted waters, making the regional semifinals for the first time in the program’s 38 seasons.  For FSU, though, this is their first Sweet 16 appearance since 1993, when Sam Cassell and Bob Sura led the Seminoles to the Elite 8.

Player to Watch: Jamie Skeen, F, VCU

The Seminoles dominated inside the paint during the regular season, but leading rebounder Chris Singleton is still returning from a broken foot. If Skeen (15.2 PPG and 7.3 RPG) can control the inside, the Rams should advance.

In My Bracket: VCU

The Rams made short work of Georgetown and Purdue in the first two rounds, so Florida State should not be an issue, especially with Chris Singleton not in full gear.
