Chaos in the Big 12

  Big things are happening in the Big 12. Missouri was staying, then definitely leaving, and now really just as confused as we are in this mess. On top of that, West Virginia appears to be saying “deuces” to Big East to join the Big 12. Throughout this whole realignment process, Houston, Southern Methodist, and Central Florida appear to be at Big East commissioner John Marinatto’s side whispering "it's not your fault" over and over again in his ear.
     A Big 12 source says that WVU has been extended an offer from the conference and plans to accept it within a few days. That means Mountaineers head coach Bob Huggins joins Missouri’s Frank Haith (for now) and the rest of the Big 12 basketball coaches. Huggins’ squad expects to join the Big 12 after a very solid year in the Big East, finishing with a record of 20-11 in what many considered the best conference in the country.
     With each passing day, it seems the Big 12 adds or loses another team. Chaos is the best word to describe the current actions of the conference. If you were to ask ten different experts on what they think the conference would look like a year from now, you would probably get ten different answers. The future of the Big 12 is uncertain right now, but one thing we can be sure of is that these schools will play basketball. And that means we will be here to critique and praise them.
