8 Nebraska (2-0) vs. Washington (1-1), 3:30pm, ABCJake Locker has been hyped as a Heisman candidate and NFL prospect all summer. In his first two games, Locker has performed well but he hasn't exactly been perfect. While he threw four touchdowns against Syracuse, he also struggled with accuracy at times and got off to a slow start.
Now, he will face the Blackshirt defense of No. 8 Nebraska. Bo Pelini has restored pride in the program and he has even brought back the option that defined Nebraska football for many years. Speedy red-shirt freshman Taylor Martinez has been electric in the zone-read option in the first two games.
Prediction: Look for the Cornhusker defense to frustrate Locker and for Martinez to make some big plays to lead the Cornhuskers to their third victory.
