This could be the most exciting game on Thursday, as we have two experienced Cinderella candidates (in other circumstances). Too bad the selection committee forced them to play each other in the first round.

Butler: G Ronald Nored, G Shawn Vanzant, G Shelvin Mack, F Matt Howard, C Andrew Smith
Old Dominion: G Darius James, G Kent Bazemore, F Ben Finney, F Chris Cooper, C Frank Hassell
Player to Watch: Frank Hassell, ODU.
ODU leads the country in rebounding margin (12.1 per game), and Hassell is a major factor in that. The outcome of the game could depend on whether he can outmuscle Howard and Smith down low.
In My Bracket: Old Dominion
This one could really go either way, but I think the CAA champs’ stifling defense and overpowering rebounders will help the Monarchs eke out a win.
