Statistically Speaking

Mike Krzyzewski started to coach the Duke Blue Devils before the 1980-81 season. Last season marked his 30th with the program. It's not fair to say that Coach K made the Blue Devils considering that Vic Bubbas coached them to three Final Fours (1963, 1964, and 1966) and one championship appearances (1964) and Coach K's predecessor Bill E. Foster led the program to a title game appearance in 1978. But Krzyzewski established a winning culture in Cameron, North Carolina. This season, the Blue Devils are the one seed in the West (Anaheim) region.
