Ninth Straight Week: The Pac 12 is shut out of the Top 25 once again.

     Once thought to be a promising year for the Pac 12 conference has proved to be a year that isn’t worth celebrating. For the ninth straight week the Top 25 is without a team from the league.

     Back in October, a preseason poll saw potential in a Cal Bears team that was ranked 11th nationally. The Bears have yet to live up to the hype and along with the other Pac teams, have disappointed. The downspin of the league has not helped in the mission to make the Pac 12 relevant again. Back in late October, the league announced that they had signed a 12-year, 225 million-dollar television deal with Fox and ESPN. With other leagues making television deals and reaching millions of fans, the Pac 12 needed to join the crowd. The struggles this season will not help. With the home stretch of the schedule ahead, the league hopes that some teams will peak at the right time and eventually make a run in the NCAA Tournament.
