17 Michigan State (5-0) vs. 18 Michigan (5-0), 3:30pm, ABCMichigan leads the all-time series 67-30- 5 between these intrastate, conference rivals. Since 1953, the teams have played for the Paul Bunyan Trophy - Governor of Michigan Trophy. UM also leads the trophy series 34-21-2.
But MSU won the annual match-up since Rich Rodriquez took over as head coach for UM in 2008. This season, though, Rodriquez can rely on freshman QB Denard Robinson to lead the team. Robinson has thrown for 1008 yards and rushed for 905 yards. He scored 15 total touchdowns this season for the Wolverines.
MSU looks to its capable offense, which has averaged 36.2 points per game this season.
Prediction: Last week, the Spartans held Wisconsin HB James White to only 98 yards rushing. I'm not saying they will shutdown Robinson, but they will be able to contain him. Take Sparty. Barely.
